Wooooo!! Calling all future brides and/or maid of honors (orrrr best friends) who have been tasked with the 2nd best part about a wedding. No I’m not talking about the honeymoon. I’m talking about the bachelorette!!! And since I literally just threw my own Napa Valley bachelorette party, you’re going to get the full inside scoop on everything we did to make it an unforgettable weekend. Honestly, I wouldn’t have had my bachelorette anywhere else besides Napa! And thank god we didn’t because I don’t think the ride home would’ve been enjoyable if it were any further than 1 hour away from San Francisco.
A classic Napa bachelorette is the ultimate combo of beautiful sunshine, endless wine, lounging around the pool, relaxing spa days, world-class dining options, and even hot air balloon rides.
So whether you’re the bride or the bride’s best girlies, keep reading for my full Napa Valley bachelorette plan, plus a sample weekend itinerary based on exactly what I did for my own!
So let’s get into a recap of the best weekend ever 👇

However, none of that impacts the integrity of my reviews. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Before we get into the actual itinerary…let’s first talk about why Napa is perfect for a bachelorette party. Well, the weather alone makes it a wonderful choice. Think sunshine, warm afternoons, and crisp evenings perfect for rooftop drinks or live music outdoors.
Some girls might shy away from Napa due to cost but I’m here to tell you that there’s a few different ways to do Napa! Yes, you can go full glam with Michelin-starred dinners and five-star resorts BUT you can also keep it super low-key by renting a big house with your besties and go bar hopping around downtown Napa or cook dinner and play games inside the house! Either way, a Napa Valley bachelorette doesn’t have to drain everyone’s wallet.
And while it’s obviously famous for wine. It’s not just about the wine!
For your non-drinking besties aka the bachelorette parties for the girls in their 30s like mine where 1/3rd of the crew was pregnant, there are a ton of great spas, mud baths, walking trails, art galleries, and so much more in the valley. Which in case you didn’t know, is 30 miles long and 5 miles wide, stretching from the town of Napa in the south allllll the way up to Calistoga in the north.
For the drinkers? Aka me. Then you’ll really love Napa. There’s endless tastings, vineyard views that look straight out of a Pinterest board, and the famous Napa Valley Wine Train. In case you want to really lean into the vino before vows theme.
No but seriously: whether your vibe is sipping cabernet in the sun or soaking in a mineral bath, a Napa bachelorette party pretty much guarantees a weekend you’ll be talking about with your bridesmaids for years to come.
Not sure where to start in Napa? Head to my 3-day Napa Valley itinerary for more ideas!
Like I mentioned earlier, you can do Napa for your bachelorette in a bunch of different ways (cost wise). But when it comes to planning your Napa Valley bachelorette party, the real MVP decision is where you and your girlies are going to stay.
Are you a hotel girly (duh, I am) or more of an Airbnb/VRBO crew? For my Napa bachelorette party, we went the hotel route because let’s be honest…Discover Over There is all about design-forward boutique hotels and chic properties that make you feel like you’re on a photoshoot. But if you’re leaning towards a house rental, that’s totally okay too. I have a TON of friends who have rented a huge house in Napa and absolutely loved it. Think pools, big backyards, space to BBQ, firepits, and more!
Just one thing to keep in mind: if nightlife is even remotely on your list, you’ll want to stay closer to downtown Napa. Calistoga is cute and charming, but it basically only has one bar and is an hour north from downtown Napa. It’s perfect for a spa weekend, but not really ideal if you’re looking to get drinks after 7pm and/or want live music!
So for your Napa Valley bachelorette party, I’ve rounded up my top hotel picks for groups of 6+ and some gorgeous house rentals worth bookmarking. Trust me, you can’t go wrong here! It’s also worth noting that there aren’t thaaat many options for hotels that fit 6+ so I did all the hard work for you below. Which is also why I personally chose to stay at Silverado because they were amazing!
It just depends on how your crew wants to celebrate 💍
Btw – there are plenty of hotels to choose from in Napa, but these five stand out because they can actually fit six girls in one room! Aka no need to split into separate rooms so I’ve ranked them from least to most expensive below!
You all know I’m a hotel girlie, so I won’t claim to be an expert on house rentals. What I am an expert in is location and research, so I pulled together my top 3 picks for big houses with pools that are perfectly situated near downtown or the wineries for your bachelorette weekend in Napa!
Okay you finally made it to the best part! My exact Napa Valley Bachelorette weekend itinerary. (We ended up making a couple slight tweaks along the way but this basically what the plan was for the entire weekend. Keep reading to start getting ideas on how your bachelorette in Napa could look 🍇

Here’s the quick TLDR on day 2 of my Napa Valley bachelorette. Keep reading for the full breakdown of our busiest day!
Look I totally get that a wine tasting day or spa weekend might not be for every group of bachelorette girlies out there. And to be honest, there are probably a handful of better places to go then for a bachelorette. Buuuuuut there are still plenty of fun things to do in Napa that make it a perfect spot for a Napa Valley bachelorette party, even without the wine or spa days. And here are my top three ideas for a Napa bachelorette that will still be loads of fun!!!
Want jaw-dropping views of the valley? Then you need to see Napa from above! (Or get a drone like I did). or do both…
Just after sunrise, hop into a hot-air balloon and watch the rolling vineyards come alive as you float up to 2,000 feet. The experience includes coffee beforehand (and sparkling wine after). Perfect for celebrating your Napa Valley bachelorette party with something totally unique and unforgettable!
Got extra time in wine country? Don’t miss my 3-day Napa Valley itinerary for a full list of top things to do in Napa!
If your crew’s not drinking but still wants to get a taste of the world-class food in Napa, then you’ve gotta try this zero-proof culinary food tour across downtown Napa. You can join another group or book a private experience! The tour comes with a super knowledgeable guide where you’ll hear fascinating stories about Napa’s history and culture while tasting some of the best food and drinks in town.
It’s the perfect way to experience Napa’s food scene without the hangover.
Giraffes in California?!? I know. Crazy right. Although technically located in Sonoma, Safari West is an unforgettable open-air wildlife experience that’ll make you feel like you’re in Africa. You’ll spot giraffes, cheetahs, wildebeests, and flamingos on a 3-hour Jeep and walking tour while learning about conservation efforts. They were also closed due to covid for so long and have only just recently reopened so it’s 100% worth going to support them during your Napa bachelorette weekend!
Staying in Napa for longer? Don’t miss my 3-day Napa Valley itinerary for a full list of top things to do in Napa!
As a self-proclaimed wine country expert, there are a few things to keep in mind when planning a smooth and successful Napa bachelorette. These tips are all based on my own personal experience but also years of being a heavy traveler. The most important part though? Making sure you have an awesome group of friends who are EXCITED to celebrate the briiiide!!
Once you have that, then you’re golden! But here are my top 3 tips to make life easier for you and the bride 👇
As I listed earlier, there aren’t thaaaat many hotel options in Napa Valley for a Napa bachelorette with 6+ girls. Unless you want to get 2 hotel rooms but where’s the fun in that? There’s definitely more options when it comes to Airbnbs/VRBOs but you guys know I’m a hotel girlie. Regardless though, May-October are busy months for the valley.
Between Bottlerock, summer events, harvest, etc – Napa really fills up quickly. So as SOON as you know the dates and have a group of girls, make sure you get your accommodation locked down 🔒
Nobody wants a Type A Ashley on a bachelorette weekend. Lol because I’m normally that person. But bachelorettes are best when there’s a “sorta kinda loose plan” for what you’re doing. And that is definitely true for Napa. So instead of building a super jam-packed itinerary, I’d pick 1-2 main things or places to go and then leave the rest up to the group!
Besides locking in your accommodations, there are two big things I’d recommend booking ahead: transportation and tastings.
For transportation, I highly recommend going with a private bus or limo!! Or anything that keeps your group together and stress-free. Even if your schedule isn’t fully mapped out yet, having a ride set up saves you from scrambling last minute to find a van.
Worst case, there’s always Uber but it adds up fast and the wait times are really unpredictable during summer. Plus, there’s nothing better than blasting your own playlist while being chauffeured from winery to lunch spot to the next stop on your list. Or in our case, my little dog Bagel got to join us for the back half of the day since my fiance happened to be golfing in the area so he dropped her off!
Without a private ride, she definitely wouldn’t have been able to join in on the pawwwtyyy 🐾
As for tastings, booking in advance is kinda non-negotiable. Only a handful of wineries can handle larger groups, and those spots go quick. Some of my favorites are the ones I already mentioned above (Davies Vineyards and Paraduxx), but I’d also add these to the list:

To help you plan the perfect Napa Valley bachelorette weekend, here are some commonly asked questions to help you organize the most unforgettable Napa bachelorette 🕊️
Spring, summer, and fall are all amazing choices for a Napa bachelorette. It really depends on your vibe… and wedding date lol. Spring brings perfect weather and blooming vineyards, summer means long sunny days (yes, it gets hot, but pool time and rosé make up for it), and fall is harvest season, which is peak wine country magic.
Notice how I left out winter but I definitely want to mention that November might be my absolute favorite time to visit Napa. The leaves are INSANELY beautiful with hues of red, orange, and yellow. So what I’m basically trying to say is that there is never a bad time or season for a Napa Valley bachelorette 🍁
For a Napa bachelorette itinerary, transportation is something you’ll want to lock in early. Private vans, buses, or limos are 💯 the move. It keeps everyone together, safe, and stress-free. Uber and Lyft exist, but they get pricey and availability is hard to predict.
Take it from someone who’s waited anywhere from 2-30 minutes for an uber from one winery to other.
Do yourself a favor and just book the private transportation 🚐
Less is more tbh. For a Napa bachelorette party, 2-3 wineries in a day is plenty. Tastings usually last an hour or more, and you’ll want time for food, photos, and just hanging with your girls. Rushing from one place to another is seriously annoying and stressful.
Aim to leave at least two hours between each reservation aka so please spread things out and enjoy the experience 🍷
Absolutely! One of my best friends was pregnant and a couple of my other girlfriends didn’t prefer wine.
Your Napa bachelorette itinerary doesn’t have to revolve around wine. You can do hot-air balloon rides, a foodie tour downtown with zero-proof cocktails, hiking, spa days, or even a safari at Safari West.
Napa has a ton of fun, unique activities that aren’t just about drinking 🚫
It can be but you have options. Tastings usually range from $40–$100 per person, and transportation/accommodation is where you’ll spend the bulk of your money.
That said, you can totally design a Napa bachelorette party that works for your budget by mixing in casual wineries, packing a picnic, or booking reasonable accomodation.
You can totally do Napa in luxury, but it also doesn’t have to break the bank.
Both are amazing, but it depends on your vibe. Napa bachelorette weekends lean a little more bougie with luxury hotels, design-forward wineries, and polished experiences. A Sonoma bachelorette party will be slightly more laid-back, a little more spread out, and often more budget-friendly.
Want to visit both? No problem! Napa and Sonoma are literally neighbors, just about a 30-minute drive apart. I’ve been to bachelorettes in both places and they were equally as fun!
So no matter which one you choose for your bachelorette, you really can’t go wrong with either 🤷🏻♀️
Annnnd there you have it! The perfect bachelorette weekend in wine country to celebrate YOU (if you’re the bride) or your soon to be married bestie!!!
As you just read…planning the perfect Napa Valley bachelorette really comes down to balancing wine, food, fun, and a little downtime with your crew. Book your tastings and transportation early, sprinkle in some non-wine activities and try not to stress too much over it!! (That’s what the wedding can be for).
Seriously, no matter how you build your Napa bachelorette itinerary, you’re in for an unforgettable weekend.
